Hybrid – Functional
Our electric bicycle line is totally hybrid-functional. You can begin by pedaling our bikes as you would a traditional bike but as you reach a certain speed (approximately 4 -5 mph) the Protanium system assists your pedaling and gives you the sensation of the wind at your back. Or simply initiate pedaling and hold the throttle down to power up the road to speeds up to 18mph. We took a different approach to electric bikes, not trying to reproduce a moped, but keep a bicycle-like look and ride but with the power to extend your range and adventures! When not riding under electric power, unlike most of the competition, there is very little motor drag, as the Protanium hub motor silently freewheels maintaining a great bicycling experience.

 Longer Range
Equipped with the latest innovations in battery and motor technology. The Protanium ELI battery  is one of the lightest and most durable on the market. A single charge will take you approximately 25 to 40 miles of power assisted riding (Actual distance will vary depending on riding terrain and rider weight).

 Plug ‘n’ Drive
The Protanium ELI battery is easily removed for recharging with our Protanium Plug ‘n’ Drive System. There are no wires complicating the process of engaging and disengaging the electric system.. When recharging the battery, simply disengage the battery pack from the rack and plug it into the wall using the Protanium recharger. Once recharged, simply reengage the battery in the rack, lock it into place and off you go, it is that easy.

Fast Charge
The battery recharges in less than five hours, has two- to five-times the service life of competitive technologies, and provides consistent full power to the motor until the point when the Protanium battery management system shuts down the power to protect the battery from over discharging.

Light Weight
Our bikes are very lightweight, setting a new benchmark for electric bikes. The Protanium electric system utilizes the latest technology in lithium polymer batteries and brushless high efficiency motors. The complete Protanium electrical drive system including motor, battery, controller and wiring is less than 16 pounds, lighter than some competitor’s battery alone! This makes for a complete electric bike at less than 50 lbs – far less than other models on the market that may be as much as 90 lbs!
