Electric Hybrids

Simple electric assistance that moves you up to 15 mph and can take you 40 miles on a single 5 hour charge. Our Torker Hybrid technology uses the latest in technology with the Lithium Ion Polymer battery and the Protanium brushless electric hub. The front hub drive system balances the weight between the wheels with the battery mounted over the rear wheel making the bike handle better and  makes it easier to transport.

Commute / Recreation

Taking life a bit slower and watching the world in a more upright/relaxed way is what recreational Torkers are all about.  Wheels with wider tires, upright stems and wider handlebars all combine to give you greater stability whether you ride on road or off. Our commuter line of bikes are designed to be quick and nimble to take on the challenges of street riding. Torker commuters use sturdy chromoly frames, lightweight alloy wheels with thinner tires to help you accelerate and roll faster over smooth surfaces.  You will appreciate that all of our recreation and commuter series  have all of the convenient fittings for racks, fenders and water bottle cages.

Utility

Bikes that can easily move more than just you around, these Torkers are built to haul. Durable and made to last, the “pick-up truck” of the cycling world. Wide, comfortable seats with upright bars keep you in control of you and your load.

Momentum Magazine Torker Cargo T contest winner loves his new bike

Posted October 30, 2009

James Lynch from Niagara New York is the proud new owner of a Torker Cargo T bike. James won the Torker in the contest held in the September/October issue of Momentum Magazine. Momentum magazine is “the magazine for self-propelled people.”

 James Story:

Just a quick note to let you know that I picked up my Torker Cargo T that I won in the Momentum Magazine contest. What a beauty! I had some second thoughts after we spoke, about the green color, but the web pictures didn't do it justice. It really looks great and hopefully, will be very conspicuous on the road.

Anyway, I got it home and adjusted the seat and handlebars up for my 6'4" size and headed north to our favorite produce stand which is about 8miles down the Niagara River, where the river meets Lake Ontario, in the Village of Youngstown. When I got there, I discovered the 1st picking of my favorite apple, the NY Empire, and decided to REALLY try out the Cargo T's carrying capacity. I bought a bushel of Empires, probably about 40 lbs worth, bungied them onto the rack, and headed south, home to Lewiston. Had a great ride home. The Cargo T handled the load no problem and I was able to climb the modest hills with ease. I've got to tell you, this is a great bike for someone like me who uses my bike as a daily hauler.

Thanks again for sponsoring the contest and all the best to you.
